We are saddened to hear that Shino-Sensei, the creator of "Until the Gal and I Become a Married Couple" (「僕と君が夫婦になるまで」), has passed away in June 2025 at the age of 28...
This announcement was made public today by the editorial department of Monthly Comic "Dengeki Daioh", which published the following obituary notice:
"We regret to inform you that Shino-sensei, the author currently serializing Until the Gal and I Become a Married Couple in this magazine, passed away in June 2025. We deeply mourn the untimely passing of Shino-sensei and pray for their soul to rest in peace. — Editorial Department, Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh"
Shino-sensei’s manga tells the story of a boy who grew up in poverty, striving to succeed in high school, only to discover his family is 50 million yen in debt. A mysterious girl then appears, offering to repay the debt—but only under certain conditions.
The series launched with Volume 1 in August 2023, followed by Volume 2 in September 2024.
Shino-sensei’s passing leaves a deep void in the manga community, and fans around the world mourn the loss of a rising talent.
As an avid fan this truly is a lost among the rising talents in the industry.
